What is ABA?

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is an effective, evidence-based method of therapy based on the science of learning and behavior in a child's natural setting, designed to decrease difficult behaviors and increase positive ones so that the child can grow up to become as independent as possible. ABA services are trauma informed and compassionate.

What is ABA?

At Autism Allies we provide intensive, comprehensive, compassionate ABA. This medically necessary therapy is overseen by Board Certified Behavior Analysts who are Master's-level clinicians with vast experience. Therapy is delivered at each appointment by Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians to ensure the highest quality of care.

At its core, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the science of understanding why we do what we do and using that knowledge to teach new skills. We teach skills to allow your child to communicate their wants, meet their needs, and improve their quality of life.

The 3 Core Components

The Environment

Everything happening around a person. Is it loud? Are they alone? Did someone just give them a cookie?

The Behavior

The specific measurable action — such as pointing to a toy, crying, or tying a shoe.

The Consequence

What happens immediately after the behavior. If a child points to a toy and receives it, they learn that pointing works.
