My name is Mike Rush. I started my career in human services 25 years ago at Bass River Inc. in Beverly, Mass, as a senior instructor in a Day Hab therapy room. In 1990 I joined Horace Mann Educational Associates (HMEA) and worked first as a unit supervisor and then as a program supervisor overseeing three units and 45 individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including autism. In 2001, I joined HMEA’s Children’s Services as a Family Support Coordinator. I coordinated services for 14 families with kids in early intervention, school ABA services, and home support programs. I supervised all staff, designed curriculum, managed budgets, and met with families on a regular basis. I completed my master’s in education and certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2004 and became board certified in 2008. Soon after I accepted a position at HMEA as a senior behavior analyst in order to focus solely on clinical work. I’m also a musician and play bass and acoustic guitar in 3 groups that are active in the Massachusetts music scene. I’m looking forward to being YOUR dependable ALLY in solving the autism puzzle.
